Airbag module

The module (10) assembled of a gas generator (16) and the inflatable bag (18), both accommodated in a housing (20), is attached to a part (14) of the vehicle with hooks (12), protruding from the lower side of a base. The base is punched of a sheet of metal with the hooks (12) either all cut from the center within a rectangular border or at least two of them. The hooks (12) are folded into a vertical position in a second step. Inclined lower surfaces at their ends facilitate the insertion of the hooks (12) into matching projections (13) located at the vehicle part (14).
