Head cylinder for direct injection combustion engine and engine with this head cylinder

The cylinder head comprises an upstream (2) inlet conduit and a downstream inlet conduit both discharging in the cylinder head fire face (1a). The upstream admission conduit comprises a cavity (6) able to contain a valve seat (10) and acceleration and orientation means (8) for at least a part of the air flow entering towards the edge of the cylinder head and in a direction (G) perpendicular and opposite to the fire face. The angle (beta) formed by the cavity upper wall (8c) and its vertical wall (8b) is between 110o and 140o. An Independent claim is included for a compression ignition engine with the cylinder head.
