Source
A cell stack for redox flow cells the reliability of which is enhanced for a long time without adhering a dipolar plate and an electrode. The cell stack (1) for redox flow cells is a laminate of cell frames (2), electrodes (3, 4), and diaphragms (5). The cell frame comprises a framework (2A) and a dipolar plate (9) provided inside the framework. The electrodes contact the dipolar plate by a clamping force without being adhered to the dipolar plate. If the electrodes are compressed to a thickness equivalent to the step difference between the framework and the dipolar plate, a preferable repulsive force is more than 15kPa and less than 150kPa (more than 0.153kgf/cm 2>and less than 1.53kgf/cm 2>).
