Process and system for assisting a driver

A camera (14) detects at least part of the surroundings of a motor vehicle, and the detected surroundings are shown on a display (20,22). A data processor (18) is used to make those detected objects that may be dangerous appear more pronounced on the display than those objects that pose no danger. This may involve using a suitable color, brightness, contrast, additional symbols or markings, or suitable animation. Independent claims are included for a system for assisting a driver's vision in a motor vehicle.
