Headlamp for motor vehicle with improved connection means to vehicle chassis

The headlamp has a housing (2) enclosing a light source (3) and fixed to the chassis (6) of the motor vehicle by a breakable mounting (7). The mounting absorbs impact energy during its rupture when the headlamp (1) is subject to collision. The mounting has successive rupture zones to progressively absorb the impact energy.
