Airbag Module

The airbag module (10) has a gas generator holder (12) with an outer cylindrical wall, open at one end and with a large central aperture at the other end. A holder ring (18) is fastened by screws (22) and grips the edge of the airbag (16). The screws expand shoulders (27) which engage bores in the base part of the holder. The ring grips the flange (50) on the edge of the dome (14) for the gas generator. There are holes for escape of the gas from the generator.
