Airbag module

The airbag module has a gas generator(18) supported by at least one elastic element(26,28) which in cross section is a closed hollow profile with a circumferential wall, the radial outer side of which rests upon the gas generator and on the other side upon a mounting component(14,22) on the module side. The elastic element completely encompasses the gas generator. The elastic element seals a gap between the mounting component fastened to the gas generator, and the gas generator itself.
