Passanger safety device for vehicles

The airbag is accommodated in a roof area of the vehicle above a side window (60). The bag is stored so that the envelope (200) is in three sections, a zig-zag section (300) and a rolled section (310) linked by a straight section (220) facing the passenger. The rolled section is rolled up in a direction which ensures that when the bag is initiated the envelope always unrolls in the gap between passengers head and the side window or panel.
