Passenger protection device

The rear seats (10) have headrests (40), and the rear region (160) of each airbag (50) is situated behind the headrest of the corresponding seat. It protects against violent contact with the rear window (310). The gas generator (170) is connected to the rear region of the airbag and to the side region (150). The side portion of the bag can protect the passenger's (20) head against contact with the side window (300). The gas generator is mounted at the top of the rear corner column (120), and the two portions of the airbag are mounted on frames at the side and rear of the vehicle roof (70).
