Monitoring device for electric heating elements connected in series

The monitoring device has at least one electrical tapping (AB1,AB2) between at least two heating elements (HE1-HE3) that is electrically connected to an evaluation unit (A1,A2), whereby the evaluation unit compares the tapped signals with internal threshold values so that the electrical current supply to the heater can be shut off if the voltage is above or below the thresholds.
