The arrangement has a measurement device (12) on at least one cylinder of the engine for forming a series of measurement values describing the combustion and an evaluation unit (20) connected to the measurement device for evaluating the measurement values. The measurement device has an analog-to-digital converter (22) for digitizing the measurement signal and a microprocessor (24) for evaluating the digitized measurement signal. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for monitoring combustion in an internal combustion engine.
