Motor vehicle with a tailgate

The motor vehicle (1) has a rear flap (9) mounted on the vehicle with a bearing device to close and expose a rear loading opening of a vehicle interior space (3) or luggage space. The rear flap can be moved using the bearing device in a lowering or raising movement between its closing position and a lowered open position in which it is arranged on the back of the vehicle in an essentially vertical alignment.
