Backrest hinge fitting for a motor vehicle seat
DRIVE
November 5, 2003
The fitting has a forward tilting hinge (48) that slants a seat back (22) from a normal to a forward tilted position. A locking device of the hinge locks a pivot movement of a bearing in a hole. A release unit disengages the locking device when actuated to tilt the back. An adjustable hinge (106) between the bearing and arms (28, 30) regulates the back relative to a carrier (20) within an angular range of the back.
