Hinge fitting for a vehicle seat

The pivot fitting for the seat of a motor vehicle includes two relatively rotatable and lockable sections(3,4), with at least one flexible operating element(35) to release a locking device. One end of the flexible operating element is fastened to one of the sections(3) of the pivot fitting. The flexible operating element is fastened to a roller(33) fixed on the fitting section and which is concentric to the rotational axis(6) of the seat back. The operating element passes around a deflection roller(30) which is movable on the line of application. An Independent claim is included for a motor vehicle's seat equipped with the proposed pivot fitting.
