Hinge fitting for an automotive vehicle seat with forward tiltable backrest
DRIVE
March 26, 2003
The hinge fitting for a motor vehicle seat with a tiltable backrest (20) has a first fitting part (24), a second fitting part (26), and a pivot joint, by means of which these two fitting parts are pivotably connected to one another. A locking cam (30) is pivotably articulated on the first fitting part (24) about a cam axis (32), which has a first end region (34) located in the vicinity of the cam axis (32) and a second end region (36). A locking recess (38) is formed on the second fitting part (26), which has a first locking flank (40) and a second locking flank (42) opposite thereto, wherein the distance between these locking flanks (42) is adapted to the distance between the two end regions. An actuating device engages the locking cam (30) at a distance from the cam axis (32), so that the locking cam (30) can be brought from a locking position into a release position. In the locking position, the first end region (34) of the locking cam (30) rests against the first locking flank (40) and the second end region (36) of the locking cam (30) rests against the second locking flank (42).
