Airbag module with elastically mounted gas generator

Gas generator (2) is mounted using at least one resilient assembly (8, 9) with holders (10) slanting up towards the cover (6) and others (11) slanting down in the opposite direction. All holders are fastened to the gas generator or to a section of the air bag module allocated for it, and rest against the other corresponding assembly (i.e. the allocated module section or gas generator).
