Vehicle bumper

The bumper has hollow section extruded from a light metal alloy and with profile walls (14,16) connected by a pair of transverse walls (18,20). Inside the hollow section a reinforcing bead is formed on at least one of the transverse walls and/or on one of the profile walls connected to it. The reinforcing bead is located in the corner region between a transverse wall and profile wall connected to it. The reinforcing bead has a slot-form indentation parallel to the adjacent profile wall.
