DRIVE
August 27, 2003
The steering axle (1) has longitudinal steering shafts (2) coupled via a transverse strut (3) with a U-shaped cross-section over the majority of its length and oval cross-section hollow supports (4) welded to the steering shafts at ends. Each steering shaft has lower and upper shells (6,7), a depending lip of the upper shell fitting over an upstanding lip of the lower shell on the side facing the transverse strut, the upstanding lip fitting over the depending lip on the opposite side.
