Motor vehicle body structure with support for a suspension strut

Structure has a wheel housing panel (4) with upper MacPherson strut support. Reinforcing console (7) is located on the free front end of the dome-shaped panel, between a lower longitudinal strut (3) of a vehicle underbody and a higher carrier (2). Console extends vertically and in transverse vehicle direction between the strut and carrier, and together with the wheel housing panel forms an integral hollow profile with polygonal cross section.
