Door assembly for motor vehicle

The automobile door (4) is sealed realtive to the door opening (2) via a door sela in its closed position into which it is moved by a combined pivot-sliding movement, via 2 parallel hinge axes respectively attached to the automobile and the automobile door. The opening movement of the door is performed in 2 successive steps for intial outwards movement of the door via the door pivot axis, before pivoting the door about this axis.
