Motor vehicle wheel suspension

The wheel suspension has a wheel mounting made up of a section (31) attached to the vehicle and a section (41) attached to the wheel. These are connected by a prismatic joint (30) or pivot. The relative movement of the sections is parallel to the direction of motion of the vehicle and a spring mounted between them biases them towards the optimum orientation.
