Strut support with incorporated pivot bearing for the suspension of a steerable vehicle wheel

The strut mounting comprises a damper block with an upper (22) section and a lower (24) section which acts as a pivot. The sections cooperate to support a vehicle chassis (16) on a spring (6). A rubber ring is fitted on to the upper section which consists of a rigid outer section (26a) which controls the movement of the spring and a flexible inner section (26b) which supports the shock absorber.
