Locking device

The locking device (1) has a spring-loaded linearly displaced locking bolt (3) operated by an electric motor rotary drive, with a free-running ring (5) between the housing (1.1) of the locking device and the locking bolt, for preventing the locking bolt normal operating path (A) from being exceeded.
