Discharge lamp and headlight for a motor vehicle
DRIVE
February 5, 2003
Numerous images (52a-52d) of discharge are reflected on a reflector's surface (50). An optical axis runs through a point of intersection for horizontal (H) and vertical (V) lines so as not to dazzle oncoming traffic. A dipped beam distribution has to observe a bright/dark limit. Certain minimum lighting is attained at fixed points below a line (60), above which there can be not more than a maximum value. An Independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle headlamp.
