Method and system for finding a location in a digital map

The method involves determining a second coordinate system defined in relation to the first coordinate system, determining the coordinates of the sought position in the second coordinate system, locating the second coordinate system in the digital map and locating the sought position in the digital map by applying the coordinate data of the position to the second coordinate system. AN Independent claim is also included for a system for implementing the method.
