The fuel supply system has at least one tank, a low pressure pump (2) connected to the tank via a first fuel line (1), a second fuel line (3) that connects the low pressure pump to a high pressure pump (4) and a fuel regulator unit (5). A fuel return line (6) feeds excess fuel back into the tank. The fuel lines are of small diameter to achieve high flow rates.
