The tank vent pipe (4) opens into the tank filler pipe (1) parallel and in the same direction as the fuel flow direction (3). The mouth opening of the vent pipe preferably surrounds in a ring the tank gun (2) inserted in the filler pipe. The pipe resistance of the section of the vent pipe leading to the HC adsorption filter is in relation to the pipe resistance of the section of the vent pipe leading to the filler pipe such that when the tank is filled a maximum of 70% of the gas volume displaced from the tank is guided through the HC filter.
