The tank (1) has an arrangement for transporting fuel (6) to an internal combustion engine, a filler opening with a filler port (4), an arrangement for refueling and operational ventilation and at least one fuel vapor filter (2) via which ventilation takes place. The filter has first and second stages (8,9) in the ventilation flow direction. The first stage has a lower flow resistance than the first and second stages or the second stage and a refueling ventilation line (10) branches after the first stage.
