The filler pipe for a motor vehicle fuel tank has a feed inlet pipe (9) connected between the filler opening and the main pipe to the tank. The end section of the feed inlet is curved into a helix to fit around the circumference of the main pipe (5). The helical section is sealed to the main pipe which has a matching opening to define a tangential opening to the interior of the main pipe.
