Heating or air conditioning installation for motor vehicles

The housing for a heating or air conditioning system is in several segments which are assembled so that the housing can be installed both in a motor vehicle with a dashboard installed on the left hand side of a longitudinal plane and also in a vehicle where the dashboard is on the right hand side of it. The housing can be installed in mirror image fashion with regard to the longitudinal plane. The first housing segment is constructed symmetrical to the longitudinal plane, and a second segment is constructed for optional fastening on the right hand or left hand side of the first segment.
