Air conditioning system, in particular for a motor vehicle

The air conditioning system for a road vehicle (1) has a front air conditioning unit (6) with left-hand (A), central (A2) and right- hand (A1) air outlets on the dashboard. This unit forms the main air conditioning unit (7) of the vehicle. There are left-hand (B2) and right- hand (B1) air outlets on the B pillars and left-hand (C2) and right-hand (C1) air outlets on the C pillars. Fans (12) and a rear air conditioning unit (9) are mounted in the backrests of the front seats.
