Sealing for a high-pressure fuel system of an internal combustion engine

The high pressure fuel system has two high pressure components (1,10) bearing one upon the other by contact surfaces (101,110) with a feed channel (20) formed in each component. A sealing foil (35) is installed between the two HP components and encompasses at least the passage of the HP fuel channel through the contact surfaces. The sealing foil consists of metal, and the HP components consist of metal, with the metal of the sealing foil softer than the steel of the HP components. The metal material may be copper or soft iron.
