Electrically insulating spacer/seal system

Seal (188) for sealing a sealing gap between two components (118, 120), especially between two components of a fuel cell block composite, comprises at least one fluid-tight component (189) made of electrically insulating material, and at least one spacer (193) extending over the entire thickness of the seal. The spacer is formed by at least one spacer element (191) dimensionally stable at the operating temperature of the seal. Independent claims are also included for: a component group containing components and the above seal; and a fuel cell block composite comprising at least one component group. Preferred Features: The spacer element comprises an oxide ceramic material and/or a glass ceramic material, preferably a metal oxide ceramic material, especially magnesium oxide, aluminum oxide and/or zirconium oxide. The fluid-tight component comprises sodium silicate. The fluid-tight component contains mica, especially phlogopite, as a filler.
