The motor vehicle's seat comprises a support frame with two freely projecting fastening sections (5,6) and can pivot forwards around at least one hinge. One hinge (7,8) on each side divides the fastening sections in a free section (10) and a support frame-side section (9). The fastening sections fit into form-locking sockets (11,12) fixed to the body. In the in-use position the fastening sections fit at least by their free sections inclusive of the hinges, while in the not-in-use position the fastening sections fit only by their free sections.
