The front (4) and side sections (7,8) of the sliding roof frame has water drain channels open at the top, with the channel in the front section accommodating a wind deflector in its non-extended neutral position. The pivot bearings for the wind deflector are formed in one piece with the frame front section and constructed to accommodate bearing necks fitted on the adjustment arms of the wind deflector. The bearings are installed in respective pairs in the two side members (5,6) of the frame front section, whereby all the bearings are located on a common alignment axis extending at right angles to the vertical center longitudinal plane of the frame (3).
