Deceleration control method for vehicles
DRIVE
September 11, 2002
The method of assisted braking is for a motor vehicle which has a sensor for conditions in front of the vehicle and a computer to regulate the distance. The computer controls a brake regulator, a pilot control for the engine and a man-machine interface. When an obstacle is detected in front of the vehicle, the brakes and engine are operated if no control input is provided by the driver.
