Method for a longitudinal control of a vehicle in which data from a navigation system is acquired
DRIVE
April 10, 2002
The method involves determining a motorway exit (4) probability when controlling the longitudinal movement based on a predetermined desired distance (dsoll) to a previous vehicle (1) using information of the navigation systems. Longitudinal acceleration is prevented or at least minimized when the previous vehicle cannot be recognized anymore and the exit probability is larger than a set threshold. An Independent claim is also included for a control apparatus for the control method.
