Intake conduit for an internal combustion engine

The induction pipe includes an elastomer umbrella valve (2) acting as a pressure relief valve held in place in a shaft housing hole by a retaining component. The retaining component is formed by an elastically flexible clip (26) held on the induction pipe and in the installed position pretensioned against the relief valve. The opening characteristic of the relief valve is influenced depending upon the degree of pretensioning, the material and the geometry of the clip.
