Steering wheel lock

DRIVE February 13, 2002
Source
The steering wheel locking unit has a drive arrangement for a rotatable spindle (1), and a locking nut (4) acted upon by the spindle and drives a locking disc (5) when the spindle rotates. The locking disc during transfer into the locking position is rotated so that a connected locking bolt locks the steering wheel. The locking nut with the locking disc in its locking position travels back to its original position with spring assistance by reverse rotation of the spindle.
