Load compartment cover for vehicles, in particular for station wagons

The loading space cover has guides (19) fastened on the body side for at least one guide component (20) on the end edge (15) of the flexible cover material (11). The guide component has a locking latch which is movable between a locking position, in which it blocks a movement of the guide component in the rolling up direction of the cover material, and a released position in which it allows this movement to take place. The latch is spring-loaded in the locking direction, and an unlocking element (16) is provided for movement of the latch from the locking position into the released position.
