The element (10) has a frame element (14) guiding a side pane (22) between two positions to close and release a window portal (16), respectively. A frame part (20) of the frame element is covered by a window web (32), where the frame part spatially separates the window portal from another window portal (18). The side pane is held rigidly on the frame element, where the latter window portal is covered by the side pane. The side pane is provided with plastics materials to form a screwed connection to the window web and/or to a door carcass of a side door.
