Convertible door for motor vehicle

The vehicle door consists of a lower part, in the form of a panel, and an upper part, in the form of a bar (7), which extends in a longitudinal direction, and is hinged to the body of the vehicle (1). The hinge is such that the pivot axis can be selected to be either horizontal, such that the door bar can be opened upwards, or vertical such that the door can be opened outwards. The lower part of the door is fitted to the bar in a removable manner, using releasable fixings.
