Wiper device, in particular for vehicle windows

The device has an electric motor (10), at least one wiper (20) shaft (16) to which a wiper is fixed so as to rotate with it and a gearbox with at least one traction arrangement (12), with which it drives the wiper shaft. The electric motor is reversible and has an armature shaft with a worm gear mounted parallel to the traction arrangement.
