Method for the automatic limitation of vehicle speed

The method involves a user entering a speed limit value (vg), the user switching on speed limiting, measuring the vehicle speed and limiting the vehicle speed by intervention into drive management if the speed is in a region that is not allowed. Speed limiting is only activated following the first switch-on if the speed of travel (v) is less than an activation speed (va) dependent on the speed limit value.
