Rail vehicle speed control method and device

The method involves forming a differential speed value (deltaV) from the actual speed value (Vist) and a predefinable desired speed value (Vsoll). A limited desired acceleration value (asoll) is formed from the differential speed value and a first mass-dependent factor (Kp). A desired traction force value (FZsoll) is generated from the limited desired acceleration value and an actual acceleration value (aist). An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for regulating the speed of a railway vehicle.
