Convertible vehicle roof

The front roof element (3) and the rear roof element (4) fold down vertically into the stowage area at the back which is covered by a swivel boot cover (7). When the rear roof element (4) is closed the swivel boot cover which is mounted on the body can be swivelled up out of the cover position. The roof is operated by a lever system having two levers (11, 12) forming a square joint mechanism.
