Starter device for an internal combustion engine and method for controlling the same

The starter control method uses a drive train control (26) with evaluation of the operating parameters of the i.c. engine, e.g. the camshaft and crankshaft angles and the operating parameters of the components of the starter device, for providing required values for setting devices for adjusting the starter device components. An Independent claim for a starter device for an i.c. engine is also included.
