The motor vehicle passenger restraint has a gas actuator (22) having an exterior housing (28) with at least two inflatable bags (12,14) for respective gas outlets (20.20') to be filled in parallel. The outlet openings can have different cross sections so that, during the inflation of the bags, the gas flow through the individual outlet openings to the bags are different.
