Light and device for controlling an interior light of a vehicle

The light has a light source, a light outlet and an optical sensor that switches the light source. The sensor has a transmitter (11''') and a receiver (16''') forming a reflection light barrier. The transmitter transmits a transmission signal via a light output coupling point that is reflected from a body approaching the coupling point and is at least partly fed to the receiver via an input coupling point.
