Rain sensor

The rain sensor has a measuring section with at least one light transmitter and at least one cooperating receiver, with propagation of the light waves between them via the automobile windscreen, so that the output signal provided by the receiver alters when moisture is deposited on the windscreen, with electronic evaluation of the receiver signal. The optical and electronic components of the rain sensor are contained in a housing with a cover provided by a light guide body (10).
